Summary

Join Front Row's Business Intelligence team as a Lead Software Developer and lead all technical decisions for our Amazon Analytics SaaS solution. You will translate requirements into technical tasks, conceptualize solutions, manage a small team, and collaborate with the Senior Director BI. This role offers significant freedom in choosing frameworks and technologies, along with substantial responsibility and development opportunities. The position is available part-time (minimum 80%) or full-time in Hamburg, requiring at least two office visits per week. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with 3+ years leading development teams
  • Advanced skills in Python, including hands-on experience with its data science stack (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
  • Solid understanding of Linux servers and the ability to create and maintain infrastructure components
  • Basic knowledge of Azure or comparable cloud infrastructure
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to make fast, well-informed decisions
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

  • Lead Software Developer for our own Amazon Analytics SaaS solution and lead all technical decisions
  • Understand and translate requirements to technical to-do's, conceptualize technical solutions from scratch, foresee and eliminate risks prior to project start
  • Support in the management of a small but capable team of software developers which you give guidance as sparring partner but also technical project manager
  • Co-work closely with our Senior Director BI during the continued development of our software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Amazon domain and experience building data-focused SaaS applications
  • German
