Summary
Join Appfire, a remote-first company, as a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Java. You will work in a hybrid model from Sofia, contributing to the performance and reliability of cloud and on-premise products. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, advancing the product roadmap, and handling maintenance and support tasks. You will also mentor junior team members. Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Java, React, SQL, Spring boot
- Experience designing and developing high-performance, scalable and robust applications
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practice
- Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding challenges
- Skills in optimizing application performance, including front-end and back-end performance tuning
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and growth leads
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with the Product Management team, the Growth team and the Marketing team to understand and implement requirements focused on increasing our product adoption and activation, timely delivery and alignment with business goals
- Product Roadmap: Focus on advancing the product roadmap by developing new features, improving existing functionality, and driving overall product enhancements. And work with cutting edge cloud technologies like Kuberentes and AWS
- Maintenance and Support: Handle ongoing maintenance tasks and engage with the Support team to resolve L3 escalations
- Coach and mentor newer team members about the application of best practices and help the team to make the right technical decisions

- You excel in communication, effectively connecting in remote/hybrid environments using tools like Slack, Zoom, and G Suite and through occasional in-person events
