Lead Software Engineer

Summary

Join Sword Health's Internal AI Solutions Team and lead a team of 1-2 Software Engineers in transforming internal processes using Generative AI. You will design and implement AI-driven solutions, translate strategic objectives into software applications, and provide performance reviews and feedback. This role requires 3+ years of experience leading an engineering team and 4+ years as a Software Engineer with proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and Python. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a leader of an Engineering Team
• At least 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with strong hands-on proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node.js), proficiency in SQL and basic experience with Python
• Experience leading and owning complex and ambiguous projects from ideation to completion/maintenance
• Experience providing technical oversight and mentoring colleagues
• Ability to learn quickly and dive deep into new problems and fields
• Ability to communicate concepts clearly and interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and solve issues according to the team’s direction and goals

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 1-2 Software Engineers by assigning tasks, overseeing the team’s work, and ensuring the attainment of the set goals
• Design and implement AI-driven solutions to improve internal operations and workflows
• Translate strategic objectives into functional software applications using specific technologies
• Own the performance review and provision of feedback on your team’s elements
• Help growing the team by defining and promoting best practices
• Handle both front-end and back-end development tasks, ensuring seamless integration and performance across our tech stack
• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges to enhance system functionality and user experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience with Generative AI or Large Language Models in a professional setting
• Advanced knowledge in data analytics tools like BigQuery and Looker, aiding in data-driven decision making and performance optimization
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and wearing different hats
