Requirements
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience, combining public accounting fundamentals with industry exposure and a focus on revenue recognition
- B.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related discipline
- Hands-on reconciliation experience (e.g., working with payment platforms or fintech solutions) and can tackle complex, high-volume, multi-currency transactions in a global setting
- Strong understanding of US GAAP (particularly ASC 606) with proven success in researching, documenting, and effectively applying complex technical accounting guidance
- Expert Excel skills; experience with advanced analytics or automation tools is a major advantage
- Proficiency working with databases and SQL across standard commercial databases or demonstrated ability to learn these systems is required
- Resourceful self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, proactively drives results, adapts swiftly, and makes a real impact

Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize scalable, automated accounting processes to support evolving revenue streams while driving operational efficiency and compliance, establishing project management frameworks to streamline technical and go-to-market accounting initiatives for continuous improvement
- Provide technical accounting guidance on new business models and product launches, assessing revenue implications and aligning with accounting standards
- Research, document, and implement revenue recognition policies (ASC 606), reviewing revenue-related contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and test revenue recognition systems, enhancements, and ERP integrations - focusing on large-scale data workflows from payment platforms
- Engage cross-functional teams (FP&A, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Product) to develop standard operating procedures that ensure top-line integrity and proactively drive accuracy, compliance, and readiness for new revenue-impacting initiatives
- Track and review revenue related contracts to ensure revenue implications are documented and in compliance with the companyβs revenue policy
- Engage and align multiple business partners such as FP&A, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Product in the development of standard operating procedures as they impact the revenue process and top line results and proactively ensure that all revenue impacting activities are thoroughly assessed for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain robust internal controls to mitigate revenue-recognition risks and support timely, accurate close cycles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist in ad-hoc analyses and projects for the revenue, finance, accounting and tax teams, leveraging data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and organizational growth
Preferred Qualifications
CPA certification (or equivalent) is strongly preferred
