Leadership Instructor

Summary

Join Education Unlimited® as a Leadership Instructor and guide students through our engaging leadership curriculum. You will lead classes via Zoom or in person at prestigious universities (UCLA, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Georgetown). Camp sessions are one week long, running from June 10th to August 5th. Responsibilities include teaching, providing one-on-one feedback, leading student showcases, tracking student work, and assisting the camp director. On-campus instructors will also assist with supervision, recreational activities, and administrative tasks. Ideal candidates possess a strong speech and debate background, teaching experience, and a passion for working with students. Successful instructors are mature, reliable, and able to work collaboratively.

Requirements

• Have a strong speech and debate background, be studying communications at the graduate school level, or have significant experience teaching and mentoring students in leadership
• Have 2+ years’ experience teaching leadership at any level
• Have a Bachelor's degree; preference given to those with an advanced degree
• Have a passion for leadership and working with students
• Possess a deep sense of professionalism
• Possess self-motivation and follow-through
• Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Guide students through the Education Unlimited Leadership curriculum to help them become more clear, confident, and effective leaders, and to help them enjoy leadership activities
• Assist students as needed in one-on-one feedback sessions, and lead students in a showcase at the end of camp
• Track student work and hand in any deliverables to the camp director and EU home office
• Assist the camp director with active supervision, recreational activities, and some administrative tasks
• Act as mentors, and help lead field trips and guide students on excursions
• With the support of the entire staff, be responsible for the health and safety of students, in addition to fulfilling instructional objectives
