Summary

DoraHacks is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to manage legal matters related to investment and financing, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The role is fully remote.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required
• Licensed to practice law, preferably in the jurisdiction where the company operates
• Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience in investment and financing law required. Experience in corporate governance and compliance is a plus
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English for effective communication is required

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary reviews and provide interpretations of legal documents, focusing on investment contracts, corporate governance, and compliance issues
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and advisors to manage legal processes and disputes related to investment and financing transactions across various jurisdictions
• Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, and best practices in investment and financing activities
• Actively participate in contract negotiations, draft and review agreements to safeguard company interests, particularly focusing on investment agreements, funding documents, and financial instruments
• Draft and maintain user agreements for dorahacks.io , ensuring compliance with laws and effective data protection
• Maintain and update company legal documents, ensuring secure and accessible digital storage
• Oversee drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements; manage employee relations, including terminations, and ensure compliance with local labor laws
• Identify and manage legal risks, stay updated on relevant laws, and represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations as necessary

Benefits

$140,000 - $180,000 a year
