Join Hostaway, a SaaS startup transforming the vacation rental industry, as their first in-house legal counsel! This fully remote role, based in European time zones, requires a business-minded legal professional experienced in various legal areas. Reporting to the COO, you will be the initial point of contact for all legal matters, negotiating agreements, working with outside counsel, and leading audits. The ideal candidate is a versatile generalist, comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment, and focused on enabling the business. This is not a traditional corporate legal role; it requires a proactive, solutions-oriented approach. Requirements

• Possess a European law degree
• Have robust and proven experience with commercial law
• Demonstrate strong familiarity with GDPR
• Possess the ability and awareness to know when to engage outside counsel
• Have experience working in a fast-paced, agile, international legal role
• Be highly organized
• Be a business enabler

Responsibilities

• Negotiate commercial agreements with vendors
• Work with outside counsel on employment matters
• Lead privacy audits with third parties
• Prioritize and act on a wide variety of legal issues, ranging from seemingly trivial to mission-critical
