Summary

Join HubSpot's Commercial Legal Team as a Legal Counsel, providing crucial support to EMEA Sales Teams. You will offer first-line legal guidance on commercial matters, review and negotiate various agreements, collaborate with internal teams, and partner with sales stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Requirements

  • Are qualified to practice law in the Netherlands or have another reciprocal EU qualification
  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant in-house legal experience
  • Have significant experience reviewing commercial contracts and feel comfortable running an independent negotiation process (Enterprise SaaS experience a plus) in Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Luxembourg) and the Nordics (Norway, Sweden, Finland)
  • Have excellent legal drafting skills
  • Have a strong foundation in data protection and EU privacy law
  • Are enthusiastic about partnering cross functionally with business stakeholders to to understand strategic goals, and make informed recommendations to achieve business objectives
  • Are able to make decisions and provide advice/explain the rationale for the decision to a curious and empowered team
  • Are able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and transparent environment
  • Appreciate the customer perspective and β€˜solve for the customer’ mentality
  • Develop strong relationships based on trust with team members
  • Possess strong communication skills, especially via an internal wiki, Slack and Zoom (it’s how we communicate)
  • Are self-driven and solution-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line client-centric legal support to our EMEA Sales teams on commercial and legal issues
  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements, which may include SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, master services agreements, and statements of work
  • Work with other various business teams on a variety of legal processes as needed
  • Partner closely with Sales stakeholders to understand the business objectives and hurdles, and drive strategic improvements
  • Collaborate with other legal and compliance practice groups to accelerate and unlock growth for HubSpot with a customer-centric mindset
