Summary
Join Kiddom as its first dedicated legal counsel, supporting and protecting the rapidly growing business. You will draft and review legal documents, support negotiations, ensure compliance, assess legal risks, and improve legal processes. This role requires collaboration across departments and direct interaction with counsel representing clients, partners, and vendors. Success in this position demands experience in a wide range of legal matters, including corporate reporting, governance, and sales support. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with strong business acumen, are essential. Requirements
- Demonstrate success working across a wide range of legal matters, including oversight for all corporate reporting and obligations, and corporate governance experience (including management of board and committee)
- Be an excellent oral and written communicator, able to synthesize and present complex ideas simply and understandably to employees at all levels, as well as the executive team and the Board
- Possess strong negotiation skills balanced with above average business acumen, informing your legal recommendations
- Have deep experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of top-priority commercial agreements
- Provide legal support for sales organizations at scale
- Work autonomously and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
- Have a proven ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
Responsibilities
- Drafting & Reviewing Agreements: Creating, reviewing, and refining legal documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with company goals
- Negotiation Support: Collaborating in negotiations, protecting and enforcing the companyβs interests
- Compliance Assurance: Ensuring Kiddom is set up to comply with relevant commercial, transactional, and privacy laws & regulations
- Risk Assessment: Identifying potential legal risks and proposing practical solutions to mitigate them
- Process Improvement: Developing standard templates and streamlining processes for recurring legal needs to enhance consistency and scalability
