• Solid legal fundamentals – You know your way around contracts and Spanish corporate law, and you’ve handled legal work in a fast-moving, international company
• Clear communicator – You can explain complex legal stuff without sounding like a law textbook. People trust your advice because it makes sense
• Commercial mindset – Understands the company’s business model and balances risk with commercial priorities
• Privacy-savvy – You’re comfortable with GDPR and global data protection basics, and you’ve helped roll out privacy programs before (or are ready to own it)
• Independent operator – Self-starter who thrives in a scale-up environment, taking initiative and ownership over cross-functional legal matters
• Organized and reliable – You can juggle tasks, keep deadlines on track, and follow through without dropping the ball

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for legal questions across the company, from quick contract reviews to helping teams navigate compliance issues
• Support corporate governance : board paperwork, entity updates, and ensuring we're on top of our obligations across different countries
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with vendors and partners — balancing risk with business needs
• Help us comply with local and international laws, especially related to the short-term rental industry
• Own our data privacy program (with support from external advisors) — making sure we’re aligned with GDPR and keeping user data safe
• Identify potential legal risks and propose actionable recommendations to limit exposure, aligned with business goals
• Translate legal requirements into clear and actionable guidance for internal teams, including Sales, Product, Finance, and People
• Draft, update, and implement company policies (e.g., data protection, compliance, supplier code of conduct) in line with evolving laws and practices
• Coordinate with external counsel when needed, keeping things efficient and cost-effective

Preferred Qualifications

Technology literacy: Familiar with legal tech tools (e.g., contract management systems) and a general comfort with SaaS tools and digital workflows
