Summary

Join Unite Us as our 2025 Legal Intern and support key strategic and legal priorities under the guidance of our legal team. You will conduct research on complex topics at the intersection of health and social care, develop relationships with internal stakeholders, and provide actionable guidance. The internship includes in-depth training on drafting and negotiating agreements, managing compliance, conducting due diligence, and regulatory research. This 8-week summer internship (starting 9/2 or 9/8) offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven organization. The internship is remote, U.S.-based, and pays $20/hour for 35 hours per week.

Requirements

  • You are currently completing a JD degree at an ABA accredited law school
  • You have experience or interest in healthcare technology, intellectual property, commercial agreements, product development, data privacy, regulatory law, and compliance
  • You are able to work proactively and collaboratively
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn software technologies such as Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, HubSpot, Asana, etc

Responsibilities

  • Research best practices and conduct research on various legal questions at the intersection of health and social care
  • Review commercial agreements including non-disclosure agreements, master cloud services agreements, and vendor agreements
  • Conduct research and prepare and deliver presentations for team leads
  • Develop and update training materials and other documentation on legal and regulatory matters
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Unite Us Legal and Compliance team
