Requirements

• Reside in the UK
• Be legally entitled to work in the UK
• Have a current UK bank account to receive payment
• Have an excellent understanding of the English language, grammar, punctuation, etc
• Be confident in the use of technology and creating documents to the highest standard
• Be confident in using the Internet to research case information/references
• Be committed to producing high quality transcription and ensuring the final transcript is complete and accurate
• Ensure deadlines are met
• Be a good communicator to ensure the best possible service
• A work dedicated and secure Windows computer
• A work dedicated email account
• Microsoft Word 2010 or higher and be confident in its use
• Foot Pedal: An Infinity IN-USB 2 or IN-USB 3 foot pedal is recommended
• Have a stable Internet connection
• Commitment to our ISO27001 security standards

Responsibilities

• Transcribe legal audio recordings accurately and efficiently
• Meet all deadlines for submitted transcripts
• Maintain consistent, high-quality work to meet eScribers' standards
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Research case information and references as needed
• Use technology and software proficiently to create documents

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years UK Court transcription experience
• BIVR accreditation or other related industry certification
• Transcription experience in other industries
