Summary

Epic Games is seeking a Lead Level Designer to join their team and contribute to various aspects of game design for a collaboration with Disney. In this role, you will lead the vision and outcome of POIs and levels, manage and grow the design team, and actively participate in big-picture decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of experience shipping multiple titles as a level designer
• 2+ years of experience in a lead-level designer role, with demonstrated ability to manage or lead a team effectively
• Experience using a level editor (UE5, or similar)
• Direct involvement with prop placement, lighting, mood/atmosphere, and design markup
• Experience working closely and communicating with artists

Responsibilities

• Lead the vision and outcome of POIs and levels that focus on building and compelling gameplay spaces
• Lead, develop, and grow the design team, enabling designers to achieve their career goals and best outcomes while also increasing the capabilities of the team
• Roll up your sleeves and dive into some IC work when needed and lead by example to set the quality bar for design
• Actively participate in big-picture decisions and ensure the design team focuses on the right elements to achieve superior results
• Work closely with production to identify, prioritize, assign, and evaluate design work

Benefits

• California Base Pay Range: $169,829 — $249,082 USD
• Washington Base Pay Range: $169,829 — $249,082 USD
