Level Designer

Summary

Join Sperasoft's team in Belgrade, Serbia as a Level Design Intern and embark on your AAA game development journey. This paid, 3-month internship offers hands-on experience in creating level layouts, scripting, and tuning levels to final quality. You will contribute to prototyping, scenario creation, and game balancing while receiving mentorship from experienced designers. Remote work within Serbia is possible, with occasional office visits. The internship may lead to permanent employment. Applicants must complete a test task and be legally authorized to work in Serbia.

Requirements

• Must have experience in Level Design or own a compelling portfolio
• Mastery of 3D level design tools
• Solid knowledge of game editors such as Unreal 4/5
• Basic knowledge of node graph systems (UE Blueprints) and/or basic scripting
• Strong creative skills
• A fine attention to quality and detail, both creatively and technically
• Demonstrated ability to work self-directed when necessary
• Excellent knowledge of video game industry
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Serbia

Responsibilities

• Contribute and create level layouts
• Build, script, and tune levels to final quality
• Place and trigger entities (such as movers, objects, obstacles etc) to create fun and deep gameplay
• Oversee and maintain the design of levels by providing constant support and feedback to reach quality, core mechanics and vision
• Monitor and put your hands on accessibility, playability, and level of difficulty
• Contribute to prototyping, scenario creation, event scripting, game balancing, pacing, and gameplay tuning
