Requirements
- Possess a masterβs degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
- Possess a current unrestricted license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, LCSW, LMHC) in the state where you will be working
- Be well-grounded in and knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including, but not limited to, cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy
- Have a commitment to providing exceptional client care and using client feedback to improve care
- Be open-minded and desire to learn from other professional disciplines and knowledge bases as well as local knowledge of colleagues and families we serve
- Have 1 year or more of experience working with children or families with developmental differences
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, and/or their siblings)
- Utilize therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety of disciplines and are tailored to the needs of the client. This may include Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, and others
- Attend to relational ethics, while collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary team and the families we serve. Actively engage other team members to ensure wrap-around support for the family and sharing of information and ideas
- Participate in family care meetings with other providers
- Comply with clinic policies and all state, federal, and licensing board laws/requirements/regulations by fostering practices that adhere to the standards of care and ethical guidelines, including confidentiality and mandated reporting
- Adhere to β and support other team members adherence to β organizational standards and policies
- Maintain documentation and communication in line with legal, ethical, and company standards
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information
