Licensed Professional Counselor

Summary

The job is for a Licensed Professional Counselor position at innovaTel, a telepsychiatry provider. The role involves providing mental health services to patients across the lifespan in an outpatient community mental health center setting. The work environment is fully remote and flexible schedules start at 16 hours per week.

Requirements

• Relevant and active LPC license
• Certified and / or experienced in common therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, TFCBT and Motivational Interviewing
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills, positive relationship building skills and critical analysis
• Flexibility and ability to adjust to needs of clinic partners (e.g., same-day appointments, patients in crisis, technology outages, etc.)
• Well versed in using EHRs, confident in a virtual setting and concurrent documentation

Responsibilities

• Perform initial mental health diagnostic assessments with treatment recommendations
• Develop an individualized, prescriptive treatment plan to fit the needs of each patient using appropriate diagnostic criteria
• Develop a strong rapport with a diverse set of patients exclusively through the telehealth modality
• Document concurrently all clinical findings and services provided in the electronic medical record as required by standards of care
• Participate in treatment meetings, consultation, and collaboration with members of clinical team
• Be present and available on-screen for the duration of the contracted hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced in caring for patients with Serious Mental Illness
• Experienced in caring for patients with co-occurring substance use disorders
• Previous telemedicine experience and skilled at using online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate with patients
