Summary

Join our team as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at the Re-entry and Sanctions Center (RSC), providing psychotherapy services to high-risk offenders using evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Requirements

• Master’s degree in clinical counseling psychology from a CACREP-accredited program
• Full, unrestricted license to practice counseling psychology in the District of Columbia or a U.S. state
• Minimum of three years of experience as a licensed professional counselor, preferably in a forensic or correctional setting

Responsibilities

• Facilitate virtual/onsite group and individual psychotherapy sessions for high-risk offenders
• Develop and implement evidence-based cognitive behavioral interventions
• Conduct group therapy sessions with clearly defined goals, focusing on topics such as trauma, substance abuse, grief, and mental illness
• Document progress notes in the RSC SMART case management system
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all therapy sessions
• Work closely with RSC staff to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each resident's specific psychological and behavioral needs
