Life & Health Insurance Agent

Summary

Join Sutherland as a self-motivated insurance sales professional and sell insurance products such as Accident, Critical Care, Cancer, Dental, Juvenile Whole/Term Life, and Adult Whole/Term Life. You will provide information to prospective buyers, acquire business through various channels, and refresh old leads. To work from home, you must have excellent internet connectivity, an in-house network, and a quiet workspace. Requirements

• An active state Life or Life & Health insurance license
• PC keyboarding/computer skills and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience
• Excellent Internet connectivity: Internet access speeds of 10Mbps upload and 50Mbps download – the faster the better!
• In-house network, and a hard-wired Internet connection capable of continuously supporting outstanding call quality and high-speed response rates. (wireless and/or satellite Internet Service Providers are not compatible with our systems)
• A quiet and distraction-free, secure place to work

Responsibilities

• Provide prospective buyers with information about products that will help to offer them peace of mind, knowing they have back-up plans for themselves and the people that they love
• Acquire business through incoming calls, website inquiries and referrals as well as through refreshing old leads to make calls and increase contact rates

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with POS applications preferred
• Previous remote or call center experience
• 2+ years of sales experience
