Summary

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lighting Artist on AAA titles, with at least one shipped game on current-gen hardware or equivalent work demonstrating advanced lighting skills
- A strong portfolio showcasing lighting that enhances gameplay, atmosphere, and storytelling
- Proficient in Unreal Engine (ideally UE5), including lighting workflows, Blueprint integration, and Time of Day systems
- Solid understanding of real-time lighting principles, PBR, HDR, EV values, LUTs, and color grading workflows
- Comfortable debugging lighting issues and optimizing for performance
- Familiar with photographic lighting concepts (exposure, aperture, shutter speed) and their application in game engines
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Be a resident and have the right to work on at least one of the selected locations: United States, Canada, Australia, EU, United Kingdom, and China
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver high-quality lighting across game environments, from early concept to final polish
- Collaborate with the art director, environment artists, and technical teams to support gameplay, narrative, and mood through lighting
- Troubleshoot and resolve lighting issues, ensuring consistent quality, stability, and performance across platforms
- Optimise lighting setups to achieve strong visual results without sacrificing frame rate or memory
- Use atmospheric elements like fog, volumetrics, and light probes to enhance immersion and tone
- Maintain and document lighting workflows and standards to support team-wide consistency
- Manage and mentor lighting artists, providing feedback, guidance, and support
- Contribute as a key team member and support junior artists through mentorship and example
