Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working in the brokerage/carrier sales
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently
  • Familiarity with TMS systems and tools like GO HWY, Carrier 411, and DAT is a plus
  • Driven and competitive nature with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to persuade, motivate, influence, and negotiate with others
  • Remain positive and flexible in an ever-changing environment with shifting priorities

Responsibilities

  • Use company tools (GO HWY, Carrier 411, DAT) to identify reliable carriers for freight services
  • Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to optimize shipping costs
  • Oversee and track active loads (TL, IMDL, LTL) within the domestic market, ensuring smooth transportation
  • Maintain consistent communication with dispatchers and drivers to track the status of loads and provide updates to customers
  • Identify potential issues during transportation and implement quick solutions to avoid delays
  • Enter and update load data in the internal TMS system as the load progresses
  • Collaborate with billing and accounting teams to assist with customer billing and other related responsibilities, especially during slower night shifts
