Machine Learning Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Machine Learning Engineer and work 100% remotely on long-term projects for a US-based client! We are seeking experienced professionals to migrate ML models from AWS SageMaker to Databricks, build, and optimize cloud-based models. The project requires a consistent daily schedule (e.g., 10:00 to 18:00), but offers flexibility. Long-term collaboration is key, with opportunities to transition to new initiatives within the same environment. Projects vary in length, but the need for skilled specialists remains constant. We offer private medical care (Medicover) and a Multisport card for contractors.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or a similar technical role related to modeling and deploying ML models
• Experience in migrating ML solutions and transferring pipelines to a cloud environment
• Practical experience with AWS services, especially S3, EC2, SageMaker
• Participation in projects based on machine learning or AI, also in production environments
• Very good knowledge of Python
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• English at a level that allows for fluent communication in a team

Responsibilities

• Design and train ML models
• Migrate ML components from AWS SageMaker (training jobs, endpoints) to Databricks
• Optimize models for prediction quality and computational costs
• Deploy models to the production environment, monitor metrics, and retrain
• Collaborate with the data/platform team on integrating models with the existing data architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Databricks platform and the Apache Spark framework (especially PySpark)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps)
• Experience with MLflow, Feature Store, Delta Lake, CI/CD models, drift monitoring
• General understanding of data pipeline management tools (DBT, Airflow, SSIS, etc.) - as a complement to collaboration with the Data Engineering team
