Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, and deploying models into production
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Kotlin/Java, or Scala with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Extensive experience with distributed computing systems (we use AWS)
  • Familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, S3, ECS
  • Experience with microservices and event-driven systems
  • Familiarity with search engines (ideally Lucene-based, like Elasticsearch)
  • Expert in deploying machine learning models, especially BERT models and LLMs, into production environments
  • High-level understanding of machine learning models, pipelines, training, and deployment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts
  • Eager learner and self-starter, with an inclination towards problem-solving
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team
  • Passion for technology and healthcare innovation

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models( BERT + LLM ) into real-world production applications
  • Implement and maintain ML pipelines, ensuring scalability and efficiency
  • Analyze and manipulate raw data formats (FHIR, JSON, CSV) for ML model training and deployment
  • Utilize AWS services for various data engineering and machine learning tasks
  • Assist in data ingestion(ie. flow from raw data to Elasticsearch documents) and processing of streaming data through ML models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet data requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • HealthTech or working with healthcare-related data (HL7v2, FHIR) is a significant advantage
  • Optimizing Elasticsearch queries to provide better recall and precision with complex queries
