Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, and deploying models into production
- Strong programming skills in Python, Kotlin/Java, or Scala with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Extensive experience with distributed computing systems (we use AWS)
- Familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, S3, ECS
- Experience with microservices and event-driven systems
- Familiarity with search engines (ideally Lucene-based, like Elasticsearch)
- Expert in deploying machine learning models, especially BERT models and LLMs, into production environments
- High-level understanding of machine learning models, pipelines, training, and deployment
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts
- Eager learner and self-starter, with an inclination towards problem-solving
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team
- Passion for technology and healthcare innovation
- Excellent team player, with a supportive and collaborative attitude

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models( BERT + LLM ) into real-world production applications
- Implement and maintain ML pipelines, ensuring scalability and efficiency
- Analyze and manipulate raw data formats (FHIR, JSON, CSV) for ML model training and deployment
- Utilize AWS services for various data engineering and machine learning tasks
- Assist in data ingestion(ie. flow from raw data to Elasticsearch documents) and processing of streaming data through ML models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet data requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- HealthTech or working with healthcare-related data (HL7v2, FHIR) is a significant advantage
- Optimizing Elasticsearch queries to provide better recall and precision with complex queries
