Machine Learning Intern

Join Reddit's Emerging Talent program as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern! Requirements

• Actively working towards a Bachelor’s, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Graduating between December 2025 and June 2026, with less than 2 years of relevant professional work experience
• Experience working with a database, social networks, or open source projects
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals (able to program your way out of a paper bag)
• Strong foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts - experience training and evaluating models using pytorch, keras, tensorflow, or SOLR
• Experience in large scale data processing & pipeline orchestration
• You’re over the age of 18 and authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Work on projects that impact the business
• Gain exposure to how a real engineering team works, from sprint planning to shipping code
• Be exposed to scalable systems that handle the complexity and volume of Reddit’s vast user base and content
• Be mentored by experienced engineers from all backgrounds
• Contribute to the betterment of Reddit, whether that be through making it easier to create content on Reddit, serving up relevant content to users, fighting evil on the site
• Work on designing, implementing, improving, testing, and launching new model enhancements to boost user engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Dataflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, BigQuery
• A desire to work at either our Reddit HQ in San Francisco or New York City during summer 2025
• Experience working at a small start-up or mid-sized company
