Machine Learning Ops Engineer

Summary

K1x is seeking a Machine Learning Ops Engineer to develop and deploy machine learning models into production, manage their lifecycle needs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience in a machine learning role, with a focus on unstructured and semi-structured data (e.g. financial documents)
• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc) as well as experience serving models developed in those frameworks in production environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services and experience with cloud-based model serving
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex technical results to senior leaders and nontechnical audiences
• Highly proficient in Python

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain machine learning models in production environments
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to build robust ML pipelines and product integrations
• Optimize and improve existing machine learning models and infrastructure
• Implement best practices for model development, deployment, and monitoring to ensure reliability and scalability
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with applications of NLP to financial documents
• Familiarity with alternative investment accounting needs
• Prior experience integrating Python-based models with .NET applications in cloud environments
