Requirements

  • Reside in Sacramento area
  • 5+ years experience in a senior SaaS sales role selling into the State of California
  • 5+ years successful sales experience in Public Sector/SLED sales
  • Proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement
  • Experience handling and owning large complex deals
  • Comfortable in a rapidly changing, high-growth tech environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • High comfort closing transactions of over $100k+ ACV in size
  • Experience with building out a new territory and acquiring new high value target accounts

Responsibilities

  • Own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting, qualification and trial to close
  • Leverage Samsara’s award winning Business Value, Customer Success Management and Leadership teams to effectively close large complex opportunities
  • Generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting, as well as receive leads from our account development team
  • Target the State of California’s public sector customers
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
