Summary

Based in London with a hybrid work model, you will report to the CFO and play a key role in month-end processes, management reporting, financial statement preparation, and business analysis. This role requires a qualified accounting designation (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) and experience with SaaS businesses. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, presenting financial insights clearly and confidently. Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA or similar)
  • Experience in presenting financial reports, data and insights clearly and confidently to non-finance stakeholders
  • Ability to work with siloed and unstructured data
  • Experience of management accounting principles and procedures
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong business relationships at all levels
  • Strong business acumen
  • Collaborative with ability to work in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
  • IT literate with strong Excel and powerpoint skills

Responsibilities

  • Completing month-end reconciliations
  • Producing monthly management accounts and reports
  • Calculating accruals and prepayments
  • Refining financial processes, procedures and controls
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Preparing annual financial statements
  • Working with external auditors, providing supporting schedules and accounting papers
  • Assisting in budgeting and cash-flow forecasting
  • Shareholder reporting
  • Business KPI production and presentation to senior management
  • Assistance with Board paper preparation
  • Assisting managers with cost management and reporting
  • Analysing siloed and unstructured financial data
  • Supporting senior management with ad hoc projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAAS / Fintech experience
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting
