Summary

Join Productive Playhouse as a Ukrainian Transcription Team Manager for a remote, project-based contract. Manage a team of six transcribers, ensuring timely project completion and high-quality transcriptions of audio content. Responsibilities include monitoring team progress, providing training and support, handling invoices, assisting with hiring, and administering language verification tests. Compensation is based on audio minutes transcribed, reviewed, and managed, with additional pay for language verification grading. The role offers flexible hours and remote work. This is a pilot project with a projected volume of one audio hour, but the volume may fluctuate.

Requirements

• Full proficiency in the Ukrainian language (ISO: uk )
• Professional work experience in Linguistics, Translation, Transcription or localization, strongly preferred
• Proficiency in computer and internet skills
• Competency on both MAC and PC platforms, Microsoft Applications, and G Suite
• Strong grammar, orthography, and punctuation skills; a proficiency test will be required
• Responsive with timely email access
• Effective web search skills
• Ability to onboard within two weeks

Responsibilities

• Regular and prompt communication in English
• Monitoring team progress and performance, while ensuring timely project completion
• Providing invoices and invoicing summaries
• Assist in hiring and onboarding transcribers, while following company-established onboarding procedures
• Administering and grading language verification tests, as well as revising and enhancing tests as needed
• Training and providing support for transcribers
• During down time, utilize company transcription program to transcribe alongside transcribers to help progression of project
• Troubleshoot alongside Team Services Manager and department Operations Coordinator to resolve any issues reported by transcribers during their work, such as bad data, technical issues, etc
