Requirements

  • 8+ years in data center operations, infrastructure engineering, or related technical leadership
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams, including remote or global teams
  • Experience managing large-scale colocation environments and vendor relationships
  • Proficiency in change management, incident response, capacity planning, and documentation systems
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a bias for action
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Team management with proven track record of success
  • Data center build, design, and operations experience
  • Deep technical understanding General knowledge of data center facilities and infrastructure including power, HVAC, structured cabling, rack management and security
  • Working knowledge of networking/server architecture and hardware
  • Process oriented and experienced in process development
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task several unrelated issues
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Excellent General documentation skills with particular emphasis on technical processes and standards
  • Excellent communication, customer focus, problem solving, conflict management, time management and interpersonal skills required
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in highly-technical, multi- discipline

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a high-performing regional team of engineers focused on operating and improving our colocation data center footprint
  • Develop and execute team roadmaps aligned with company objectives, operational SLAs, and infrastructure growth
  • Manage workflow for day-to-day operations
  • Capacity management, deployment and forecasting
  • Budgeting and stock management
  • Hardware break fix knowledge
  • Site coverage as needed
  • Facility evaluations
  • Builds and deployments
  • Provide technical and managerial oversight across system operations, standards and engineering documentation
  • Promote a high-performance culture with clear goals, coaching, feedback, and recognition
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across remote teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in ITIL process methodologies is a plus
  • Proven ability to function independently in ambiguous situations with a record of success
