Manager of Software Engineering, 3D

Summary

Join DroneDeploy's 3D team as an experienced engineering leader, enhancing the 3D viewing experience for customers by continuously improving speed and quality while maintaining platform stability. You will own the entire 3D pipeline, from tile generation to client-side rendering and analysis, and define the technical roadmap for delivering a best-in-class 3D experience. The role requires leading small teams in 3D graphics, deep technical expertise in web and mobile 3D rendering, and experience with customer-facing products. Experience with mobile 3D capture, AR, and BIM alignment is also necessary. Domestic travel is required quarterly. This 100% remote position is based in the US Central timezone.

Requirements

• Experience leading small teams in the space of 3D graphics
• Deep technical expertise in web and mobile 3D rendering, and 3D tile generation pipelines
• Experience owning customer-facing products with thousands of monthly active users
• Experience with mobile 3D capture and AR
• Experience with BIM alignment to reality capture data and client rendering
• Available to travel domestically, quarterly, for work-related activities such as events, conferences, and training
