As an Engineering Leader for Editor Usability, you will build and execute a long-term roadmap to maintain Figma's world-class designer experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, manage and develop a team of engineers, and work with leadership to set strategic priorities. This full-time role can be based in a US hub or remotely within the United States. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing and leading a high output engineering team
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable software systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team; including a proven track record of motivating, mentoring, and guiding senior engineers, and hiring top industry talent
- Demonstrated exceptional ability to work cross-functionally across Product, Design, and Marketing, as well as collaborating with other engineering teams to ship both customer and internal-facing projects
- Technical curiosity - you should be ready to learn and grow alongside your team - and a love of design and craft
Responsibilities
- Build and execute on a long-term roadmap to ensure that Figmaβs Designer experience remains world-class, and that Figmaβs internal product teams are able to leverage our Editor capabilities across our entire suite of products
- Work closely with cross-functional partners and other engineering teams to push the envelope for craft and quality in Figma Design
- Hire, manage, support and develop a team of engineers, including staff level engineers
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for teams and projects
- Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the front-end, including working with WebAssembly and React
- Experience working with modern web browser internals and performance
