Math Teacher

Summary

Join Think Academy US as a Remote Math Teacher to work with K through 12 students in math. Prepare and teach online classes, conduct evaluations, grade homework, and communicate with parents. Flexible work schedule, competitive pay, and potential for performance-based bonuses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher; all majors are welcome though Education or STEM-related majors are preferred!
• Prior math teaching experience is a plus
• Availability and willingness to work full-time from Wednesday to Sunday starting November 2024

Responsibilities

• Preparing and teaching online math classes for students on a weekly basis (7-10 classes = approximately 12-20 hours/week)
• Participating in paid teaching assistant work by attending classes and learning from experience lead teachers' teaching methods
• Conducting 1on1 evaluations with new students to help them enroll in the correct classes (5-10 hours/week)
• Grading homework and communicating with parents weekly to update them on students' learning progress and areas for improvement (5-7 hours/week)
• Other work assigned by teaching management team

Preferred Qualifications

• Passionate about teaching, responsible, and enthusiastic about working with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with parents

Benefits

• Competitive Pay: Teaching Hours: $30-$40/hr, Administrative Hours (Lesson Prep, Grading, Parent Communication): $16-$20/hr
• Yearly Salary Estimate: 1st year Total Target Compensation: $40,000-$50,000
