Middle School Math Teacher

Summary

Join Think Academy US as a Remote Middle School Math Teacher to work with students from 6th to 12th grade in math. Prepare and teach online classes, conduct evaluations, grade homework, and communicate with parents. Bachelor's degree or higher is required, prior math teaching experience is preferred. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher; all majors are welcome though Education or STEM-related majors are preferred!
• Availability and willingness to work full-time from Wednesday to Sunday starting November 2024
• Passionate about teaching, responsible, and enthusiastic about working with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with parents

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach online math classes for students on a weekly basis (7-10 classes = approximately 12-20 hours/week)
• Participate in paid teaching assistant work by attending classes and learning from experience lead teachers' teaching methods
• Conduct 1on1 evaluations with new students to help them enroll in the correct classes (5-10 hours/week)
• Grade homework and communicate with parents weekly to update them on students' learning progress and areas for improvement (5-7 hours/week)
• Other work assigned by teaching management team

Preferred Qualifications

Prior math teaching experience is a plus

• Competitive Pay: Teaching Hours: $30-$40/hr, Administrative Hours (Lesson Prep, Grading, Parent Communication): $16-$20/hr
• Yearly Salary Estimate: 1st year Total Target Compensation: $40,000-$50,000
