Mechanical Submittal Engineer

Review and validate mechanical submittal data generated by AI systems, provide expert input on various mechanical systems, and identify inaccuracies in technical documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to improve automated review tools and help shape internal QA processes. This is a permanent, full-time, work-from-home position with a specific work schedule.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction as a Project Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
• Deep familiarity with reviewing and interpreting construction submittals and technical documentation
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and gas
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized with a passion for improving processes
• Comfortable working in a tech-forward environment with evolving tools
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Review and validate mechanical submittal data generated by our AI systems
• Provide expert input on plumbing, HVAC, process piping, and gas systems in commercial/industrial projects
• Identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies in technical documentation and flag them for correction
• Collaborate with our internal teams to improve the accuracy and structure of our automated review tools
• Help shape internal QA processes and best practices for construction submittal reviews

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI or data-driven tools
• Prior experience in construction technology or a startup environment
