Medical Director

Summary

Join Colchis Medical Services as their experienced and dynamic Medical Director for their telehealth organization. This hybrid role involves leadership and direct patient care, overseeing a team of clinicians and ensuring high-quality virtual care. The successful candidate will develop clinical policies, manage clinicians, provide clinical oversight, and collaborate with various departments. This position requires an MD or DO degree, board certification, multiple state licenses, and extensive experience in telehealth and leadership. Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school, with a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
• Board certification in a relevant medical specialty
• Multiple state licenses (5+ states including either Texas, California, or Florida)
• Clinical experience in a telehealth environment, with demonstrated leadership skills
• Experience in healthcare services outside the realm of insurance coverage
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex medical information to a variety of audiences
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify trends and make evidence-based decisions
• Experience in quality improvement, risk management, and clinical governance
• Knowledge of telehealth regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the organization and external stakeholders
• Proficient in Gsuite, and multiple EHRs

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, while promoting the highest quality of care
• Manage a team of clinicians, including midlevel providers, and ensure they are adhering to clinical guidelines and protocols
• Provide clinical oversight and guidance to clinicians to ensure that they are providing safe, effective, and efficient care to patients
• Evaluate the clinical performance of the team members and identify areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance their skills
• Work closely with the technology team to ensure that the telehealth platform is designed to support safe and effective clinical care
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to promote a team-based approach to patient care
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and creative problem-solving to enhance the telehealth program's effectiveness
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including medical organizations, regulatory agencies, and other telehealth providers
