Summary

Join Solace, a healthcare advocacy marketplace, as their Medical Director. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will oversee a growing team of physicians, lead hiring and training, and ensure seamless patient experiences. You will develop clinical workflows, policies, and quality assurance programs. This role requires an active, unrestricted medical license, board certification, significant patient care and leadership experience, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • An active, unrestricted medical license
  • Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine
  • 5+ years of direct patient care
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a medical director or similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with product, growth, and other parts of the organization, leading cross-functional teams to achieve desired results
  • Comfort with developing a data framework to monitor the achievement of goals and tracking of KPIs
  • Prior experience with large scale hiring and training of medical staff

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a rapidly growing team of physicians and lead physician hiring, onboarding, and training processes
  • Provide oversight for day-to-day physician operations
  • Work closely with leaders of the advocate team to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Ensure Solace’s patients receive excellent care and a best-in-class experience through developing, implementing, and iterating on the care model
  • Develop new clinical workflows and pathways to support scaling and new business opportunities; responsible for continuous development, improvement, and implementation of clinical programs
  • Develop policies, procedures, and protocols that support our physicians to do their best work and that foster a culture of compliance
  • Develop and oversee quality assurance and improvement programs designed to strengthen the support patients receive
  • Provide guidance to clinical team when faced with challenging clinical situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with population health management a plus, including addressing health-related social needs and working with an interdisciplinary care management team
  • Prior startup experience is a plus; prior experience working at a tech-forward clinical startup is a massive plus; comfort working autonomously is a necessity
