Summary

The job description is for a Medical Director at Apogee Therapeutics, a fast-paced biotechnology company focused on developing differentiated biologics. The role involves overseeing day-to-day clinical execution and supporting the cross-functional team in forming the clinical strategy.

Requirements

• MD degree
• Experience in clinical development within the Immunology & Inflammation therapeutic area, ideally with atopic dermatitis development experience
• 3-5 years’ experience as Medical Monitor and/or Medical Director

Responsibilities

• Support development of the strategy for clinical program(s)
• Support design of trials and develop protocols for individual studies
• Oversee day-to-day clinical and medical execution of studies
• Serve as medical monitor, working closely with the CRO, clinical operations, and pharmacovigilance on study execution including safety reporting
• Work closely with cross functional colleagues to ensure timely and flawless execution of clinical plan
• Partner with clinical operations on site selection, recruitment, and CRO management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with PIs
• Serve as primary medical point of contact for sites and PIs, as applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• Emerging leader with a growth mindset, can-do attitude, willing to mentor as well as learn from others
• Strong communication skills with an ability to present to a variety of stakeholders and tailor message accordingly
• Experience filing Investigational New Drug applications and/or Biologics License Applications is ideal
