As a PDM case manager, you will work remotely, conducting home visits and attending physician appointments with injured workers to ensure cost-effective treatment. Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and adjusters to assess treatment plans and overcome barriers to maximum medical improvement. The ideal candidate will be assertive, able to identify preferred providers, and possess a strong background in industrial rehabilitation nursing, medical case management, or related fields. This position offers flexible scheduling, hourly pay plus allowances, and the opportunity to make a significant impact on healthcare costs.
Requirements
- Have a strong background in at least one of the following specialties: industrial rehabilitation nursing, medical case management, occupational health, orthopedics, home health care, utilization review, or quality assurance
- Have familiarity with regional physicians
- Possess active, unencumbered registered nursing license with a minimum of 5 years' experience
- Be confident and assertive
- Ability to drive to appointments within a 2-hour radius
Responsibilities
- Work from a home office and drive to physician appointments to attend appointments with injured workers, delivering appropriate cost-effective outcomes
- Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical providers, workers' compensation adjusters and other PDM team members to continuously assess treatment plans and overcome barriers to achieve maximum medical improvement
- Identify and facilitate preferred provider selections as needed
Preferred Qualifications
CCM, and COHN-S/CM certifications
