Medical Science Manager

Summary

Requirements

• Advanced degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) in a clinical or medical specialty and relevant clinical experience strongly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry required and scientific expertise in rare disease is preferred
• Excellent communication skills required in local language, preferable also in English

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical Medical Science Liaison skills and gathers medical and clinical insights that contribute to enhancement of Ultragenyx’s key medical positions, plans, future research, and development efforts; and proactively identifies unmet needs
• Organize national Advisory Boards in line with the medical plans and local medical needs
• Effectively presents clinical/scientific information in virtual and live settings
• Ability to tailor presentations for inside and outside the organization, and present/speak to groups
• Partners closely with cross-functional colleagues to support our clinical development programs, stakeholder engagement plans and overall medical strategy
• Accountable for individual territory management
• Creates materials such as reports, utilizes CRM, PromoMats and has required proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Manages travel and expense budget and ensures all activities are compliant within company policy and procedures
