Director, Medical Science Liaison

Summary

The job is for a Director of MSL Clinical Science position at Tempus. The role involves managing a team of MSL Clinical Scientists and providing proactive support to key physicians regarding the scientific evidence for Tempus clinical test platforms. The position requires travel within the US, and the ideal candidate should have an advanced degree in a medical, clinical, or science-related field with at least 3 years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, including 1 year of MSL team management experience.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in medical, clinical, or science-related field (MD, PharmD, PhD, MS in Biological Science or Clinical Discipline) is required
• Minimum of 3 years in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry with 1 year of MSL team management experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive MSL engagements through 'white glove' physician support, clinical education, and ongoing relationships with key physicians regarding the scientific evidence for Tempus clinical test platforms
• Oversee MSL team initiatives such as MD educational and testing support, Virtual Tumor Boards and case reviews, Clinical Presentations & Speaker Program support, MSL provision of CAE support, MSL support to Sales Pitches to physician groups, MSL-led national and regional Sales Training initiatives, Product Launch supports

Preferred Qualifications

Professional experience within clinical or academic cancer centers systems is preferred to include working understanding of health care provider roles and clinical system infrastructure
