Requirements

• Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems is a plus
• Excellent typing and transcription skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with EHR systems and general computer literacy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Responsibilities

• Document Patient Encounters: Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans during patient visits
• Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR): Update and maintain patient records in the EHR system, ensuring all information is complete and accurately recorded
• Real-Time Data Entry: Enter patient information into the EHR system in real-time, supporting healthcare providers during consultations
• Coordinate with Medical Team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care and accurate documentation
• Assist with Chart Reviews: Review and edit patient charts for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards
• Maintain Confidentiality: Handle patient information with the utmost confidentiality and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence
