Summary
Join Northwestern Medicine as a Medication Management LPN and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare. This role involves telephone triage for primary and specialty providers, assisting patients with clinical questions, prescription refills, lab/test results, and urgent conditions. You will be responsible for adhering to triage guidelines and protocols, maintaining effective relationships with patients and staff, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, an Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse license, and 3-5 years of clinical experience.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed Practical Nurse (Illinois)
- 3-5 years clinical experience (inpatient or ambulatory)
- Ability to work from home independently
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers which establishes a positive first impression of Northwestern Medicine
- Exceed all consumer requests and alert management of issues or concerns that require escalation
- Maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers
- Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think independently and analytically and provide education to the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior telephone triage experience
- Prior contact center experience
- Experience using EPIC EMR
- Currently enrolled in higher education
