Summary
Chronosphere is a remote-first startup looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help optimize their platform, design internal tools, resolve bottlenecks, and mentor junior engineers. The role requires experience with high-scale systems, Linux, open-source communities, Go or C++, Java, C#, Rust, distributed systems at scale, and monitoring and alerting. Requirements
- Ability to independently own projects from inception to delivery (i.e. plan and gather requirements, collaborate with Product)
- Pre-existing experience on how to build high-scale systems and experience with building sophisticated application services
- A passion for growing and up-leveling your peers, and have pre-existing mentoring experience and a nuanced view around how to help junior engineers grow
- Ability to manage time and focus on the critical path of a project
- Experience with Go or C++, Java, C#, Rust
- Experience developing and or operating distributed systems at scale
- Experience with monitoring and alerting
- Experience with Linux and open-source communities
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate an array of tools and services to enhance developer productivity and experience
- Identify, analyze, and resolve software development lifecycle bottlenecks and advocate for best practices in development processes
- Unblock developers facing technical questions and issues
- Help to make our infrastructure and architecture scale to meet the needs of the platform
