Requirements
- Completion of a Master's degree (M.A./M.S.) in Psychology, Professional Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy is required
- Strong clinical writing, assessment, and active listening skills
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Experience providing therapeutic services to young adults, adolescents, at risk populations, or have worked in a community mental health, crisis support, or college counseling environment
- Valid U.S. work authorization
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and triage support (via phone, video, or chat) as needed for members using TalkNow services
- Act as a primary mental health provider to support members with a person-centered, strengths-based approach
- Collaborate with members to develop care plans, progress care, and conduct risk assessments as needed
- Appropriately document sessions, assessments, and care plans in our electronic health record (EHR)
- Adhere to established standards for clinical documentation quality, HIPAA/PHI, and telehealth regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed or Provisionally Licensed in North Carolina
- Able to adapt to the needs of the members we serve
- Able to use evidence-based modalities and active listening skills in order to build rapport and progress care
- Able to remain calm and assess, triage, and document sessions with members who are potentially in crisis or are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicidal ideation
- Able to support members with professionalism, empathy, and an awareness of cultural humility
