Mentor - Data Driven Strategic Thinking

Join Springboard's mentor community and make a difference in students' lives by guiding them through our online Strategic Thinking & Communications workshop. As a mentor, you'll provide 1-on-1 guidance to working professionals, helping them develop data-driven thinking and problem-solving skills. The program is entirely online and involves weekly 30-minute video calls with students. You'll receive an honorarium for your time and be part of a vibrant community of expert mentors from leading companies. This is a rewarding opportunity to share your expertise and contribute to revolutionizing online education. Mentors work at their convenience and are paid an honorarium for each 30-minute call.

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of experience working at a top management consulting firm
• Have experience solving real-life, ambiguous business problems using structured thinking and analytics
• Be passionate about teaching strategic thinking and strategic thinking itself (thinking like a consultant)
• Know how to think about problems in a business context and use data to back up claims
• Be proficient in the topics covered in our curriculum, including problem framing, structuring with issue trees, Excel analysis, data visualization, scoping, synthesis, and top-down communication, and storytelling
• Be available for weekly, 30-minute video check-ins with students
• Possess empathy and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 guidance to students
• Help students develop data-driven thinking and problem-solving skills
• Conduct weekly 30-minute video calls with students
• Help students set and achieve learning goals
• Answer subject matter questions
• Provide feedback on projects
• Provide career advice
