Mid Backend Developer

Summary

Join BWS, a company merging US startup dynamism with European tech talent, as a Mid Backend Developer. You'll collaborate with a Senior Architect to build a B2B AI analytics platform for marketing, tracking, analyzing, and predicting marketing spend and engagement. This role involves backend architecture, API development using Node.js, database management, debugging, and collaboration. The position requires significant Node.js and SQL experience. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js web servers (Koa, Express, Nest.js, etc.)
• Good understanding of web architecture, including servers, browsers, and basic networking concepts
• Familiarity with API technologies like REST, GraphQL, or gRPC
• Familiarity with Node.js concepts (streams, events, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript; experience with other typed languages is a plus
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Basic experience with Linux and Docker
• Some exposure to design patterns and functional programming concepts

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining the backend architecture of the AI analytics platform
• Develop and optimize APIs using Node.js (Express, Koa, Nest.js, etc.)
• Work with SQL databases and contribute to efficient data management
• Debug issues and identify performance bottlenecks in the system
• Collaborate with the Senior Architect to implement best practices in backend development
• Work with REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs to integrate data efficiently
• Ensure smooth deployment using Docker and basic Linux commands
• Iterate quickly based on feedback, continuously improving the platform
