Mid Data Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Mid Data Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices. This remote Latin America-based role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, extensive software development experience, and professional English skills. You will focus on data pipeline development, ETL process implementation, database management, and data integration. The ideal candidate will possess experience with Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, Redshift, and Docker, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +4 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines to efficiently ingest, process, and transform data from various sources
• Develop and maintain ETL workflows, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality across systems
• Assist in the management and optimization of databases, including query optimization and schema design
• Integrate data from different sources, ensuring seamless data flow for analytics and reporting
• Work with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineers to automate pipelines and testing use of DBT and Apache Spark for Firebrand in behalf of them for a project with Zonda Homes on Data and infrastructure modernization
