Join our talented team as we embark on an uncharted gaming adventure! We're on the lookout for a passionate Senior Technical Artist to contribute their skills to our Dungeons & Dragons PC/console project.
Requirements
- Strong skills in advanced character and creature rigging and skinning , body mechanics, and animation styles
- Experience in simulation, morphing flow/systems
- Advanced proficiency in 3d software as Maya or 3ds Max
- Skilled in creating and optimizing visual effects in real time, with a strong understanding of designing shaders and/or complex special effects
- Deep understanding of tools and workflows for cross-platform productions
- Knowledge of scripting languages
- Knowledge of profiling/debugging tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and processes
- Effective time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in graphics for stylized productions
Responsibilities
- Help create and manage the character and creature art pipeline, with a strong focus on building the advanced customization system
- Collaborate with the Character and VFX teams to implement visual effects, shaders, and advanced materials
- Work closely with the animation team to design and implement complex custom character rigs
- Develop the flow and maintain an optimized technical art pipeline
- Help the programming team to develop unique features, debug, profile and optimize game content for the target platforms
- Work closely with the art team to integrate art content in game engines and create tools to facilitate the production process
- Create tools to improve the artists' workflow, while keeping user experience in mind
- Support the artists by documenting tools, creating guidelines and developing best practices
- Stay up to date with the latest tools and techniques being used in the video game industry and identify which ones can be applied to the project
- Mentor Intermediate and Junior Tech Artists, as needed
