Miner Technician I

Summary

The Miner Technician I is responsible for maintaining and repairing mining equipment to ensure efficient operations in compliance with safety standards. They will perform routine inspections, conduct repairs, collaborate with engineers, adhere to safety protocols, and monitor equipment performance. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical and/or troubleshooting are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience in production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical and/or troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and associated technologies
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Excellent teamwork and communications skills and attention to detail
• Ability to be on your feet 7 hours per day
• Ability to lift/carry 30-50 lbs
• Willingness to adhere to strict safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections on mining equipment to identify and address potential issues
• Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality of machinery
• Collaborate with mining engineers and other team members to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all mining operations
• Assist in the installation and setup of new mining equipment
• Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, making adjustments as needed
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status
• Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety within the mining team
• Operate various tools and machinery required for maintenance tasks
• Stay informed about advancements in mining technology and equipment for continuous improvement
• On call during emergencies
