Summary

Join our team as a Senior MS PowerApps Developer and contribute to the modernization of our client's PowerApps and PowerAutomate applications. You will work remotely, rewriting existing applications built on SharePoint Online, utilizing Cognito forms or PowerApps for the front end, SharePoint lists for data storage, and PowerAutomate for workflows. Collaborate with business users and a SharePoint Architect to gather requirements, design and develop new applications, and migrate data. Leverage your expertise in Power Automate to automate processes and ensure system integration. Identify opportunities to improve processes using PowerApps/SharePoint and collaborate with the data team on reporting and data analytics in Power BI or Tableau. This is a 12+ month contract position located in Raleigh, NC.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of SharePoint architecture
  • SharePoint Online Site Administration including building sites and pages, modifying and deleting sites, managing SharePoint Permissions (Site Permissions, User groups, Document Library/List Permissions, Break Inheritance)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical as well as non-technical staff
  • Ability to learn and understand new technologies associated with SharePoint and O365 products
  • Experience developing and supporting SharePoint Applications (5 Years)
  • SharePoint Online Site Admin including building sites and pages, modifying and deleting sites, managing SharePoint Permissions (5 Years)
  • Knowledge of managing SharePoint Lists and document Libraries (Filter & Sorting, Custom Views) (5 Years)
  • Use of MS Forms or 3rd party forms for data collection (5 Years)
  • Experience with configuring and implementing Power Automate (Flow) (5 Years)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions (5 Years)
  • Sound understanding of PowerApps formulas and development methods (5 Years)
  • Experience developing PowerApps canvas apps (3 Years)

Responsibilities

  • Rewrite existing PowerApps and PowerAutomate applications built on the State’s shared government cloud Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise server
  • Gather business requirements
  • Design and develop new applications
  • Migrate data from existing applications as necessary
  • Develop PowerApps and publish reports in Power BI
  • Work with 3rd party forms/connectors to collect data and store the data in SharePoint, when authentication to SharePoint is not required
  • Automate processes and drive efficiencies using Power Automate (Flow), ensuring system integration and data integrity
  • Identify new areas and business processes where PowerApps/SharePoint can be leveraged and facilitate continual process improvement
  • Collaborate with client’s data team to align on reporting and data analytics currently being developed in either Power BI or Tableau, and assist with securely publishing the dashboards and setting up the proper user permissions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating Power BI dashboards
  • Experience developing in MS PowerApps Portal with SQL Database (Dataverse)
  • Experience creating views in Dataverse
  • Experience developing Cognito forms for data collection
  • Experience working in the HR Domain with knowledge of core HR functions (recruitment, classification, compensation, onboarding, payroll, hiring and other personnel actions, etc.)
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience in State Government
  • GCC or GCC-High experience in the SharePoint Online government cloud
  • MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification
  • PL-900 Power Platform Fundamentals certification
