NEPA Specialist

Summary

The job is for a NEPA Specialist at MSLLC to support the Department of Energy's clean energy program. The role involves ensuring compliance with various environmental and cultural resource laws and regulations, including NEPA, NHPA, ESA, CWA, CAA, OSHA, and EO 13175.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain DOE site badge and eligibility to obtain a DOE security clearance
• Residency in the United States is a mandatory requirement
• BS or MS in engineering or science (environmental, chemistry, biology, geology, etc.), or related advanced degree
• 7-10 years of relevant NEPA experience is required and knowledge of NEPA requirements

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with NEPA regulations and guidance
• Support compliance with applicable cross-cutting statutes, regulations, and Executive Orders
• Assist in identifying required permits and authorizations
• Support federal staff in all aspects of the NEPA review process

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the DOE energy sector preferred
